It’s a comfortable “winter” beyond the equator. The air and water temperatures stay around 25°C, so there is no exhausting tropical heat.

You will need a wetsuit for water sessions (it can be rented on-site), as well as fins, a mask, a snorkel, and weights — everything you need will be available.

Humpback whales are the highlight of the season. Unlike February and March, they appear near the island in August, making it the main event and a unique bonus of the trip.
